Won't my vehicle smell like a McDonalds?
No! It is true that a vehicle burning veg oil as a fuel - or biodiesel for that matter - will have a different tailpipe odour. This does change from vehicle to vehicle. From our experience, the bigger the engine the less the odour. Our conversion of a 12 litre 420hp truck has resulted in a vehicle with practically no tailpipe odour; in fact the driver claims it smells worse on diesel. The type of oil and what was actually cooked in it also effects the tailpipe odour. Apparantly, burning used oil from 'Dunkin' Donuts' gives a lovely sweet aroma that causes hunger pangs! Not to be recommended if you're on a diet.
